ARTISTIC AND RESEARCH RESIDENCES
ATOPÉMONOS BAILANDO

Atopémonos Bailando was the revival project of Colectivo Glovo in collaboration with the City Council of Lugo and Galicia Danza Contemporánea - Manu Lago and the support of Agadic - Xunta de Galicia through the Impulso a las Artes Escénicas grants in which several emerging dance artists from Galicia were brought together through a residency, training, mediation and exhibition programme in the city of Lugo in 2020 and 2021.

This project becomes in 2022 the Artistic Residency and Research Programme Atopémonos Bailando for dance and movement arts creators from Galicia, the rest of Spain and Portugal, co-organised by Colectivo Glovo, the City Council of Lugo and Galicia Danza Contemporánea - Manu Lago, with the support of the Xunta de Galicia through Agadic, thus completing the support to dance by the City Council together with the projects Festival Cartografía en Movemento and the Ciclo LED Lugo En Danza.

In 2023, as a result of the interest in creating cross-border networks with other entities and broadening the scope of the programme, three artistic institutions will join the programme as collaborators, making possible the exchange between Spain, Portugal and Costa Rica:

MAS - AUDITÓRIO MUNICIPAL ANTÓNIO SILVA - Portugal

Sede SóLODOS Costa Rica

Taller Nacional de Danza de Costa Rica

Objectives of the residency program

-Promote and support the creation and research in dance and movement arts of Galician, national and international companies, linking Portugal in the program and creating a space for creation and research residences, with special attention to creators from Galicia .

-Disseminate and bring the creative processes in contemporary dance closer to the public through quality, diverse, innovative, international, free programming and through programs to open creative processes.

-Create a space for training and practice in contemporary dance by conducting workshops for various types of audiences.

-Generate collaboration and networking of national and international professional agents through the exchange of artists and information on companies and projects.
